Children Youth and Families Worker

Are you an experienced children’s, youth or families worker keen to explore your calling to share the love of God with those facing the pressures of modern life in a variety of contexts?

We are seeking to employ a dynamic and committed person to work with children, young people and their families in the Putney and Roehampton areas of South-West London. The successful applicant will work to support existing mission and nurture new projects. They will work alongside existing volunteers and staff members, building on work undertaken by others but also bringing fresh insight and leadership. They will particularly need to be able to meet the challenges of rebuilding youth outreach after the impact of COVID.

Salary: £25-28,000 (according to experience)

Putney Methodist Church is a vibrant community that has a great potential to grow an active Sunday School and children’s ministry, with excellent facilities in a prominent location. Roehampton Methodist Church is positioned in the heart of an estate providing a base for the Circuit’s commitment to mission.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a Christian. The post will be offered subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
